Yaniv Taubenhouse

Yaniv Taubenhouse is an Israeli-born pianist and composer based in New York City, known for the lyrical, melodically grounded work of his piano trio with bassist Rick Rosato and drummer Jerad Lippi. He began piano at age six and graduated from the Thelma-Yellin High School of the Arts in Tel Aviv before continuing his training in the United States, earning a BFA from the New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music. His debut as a leader, Here from There, appeared on Fresh Sound New Talent in 2014, followed by the multi-volume Moments in Trio series of piano-trio recordings. In 2022 he released Hope, a solo piano album recorded in the early months of the pandemic. His playing bridges the jazz and classical traditions, shaped by studies and masterclasses with pianists including Brad Mehldau and Richard Goode.
