Tomas Fujiwara is a Brooklyn-based drummer and composer whose playing anchors a wide swath of New York's jazz and improvised music scene. He is a member of the collective trio Thumbscrew alongside guitarist Mary Halvorson and bassist Michael Formanek, whose self-titled debut appeared in 2014, and he leads his own groups Triple Double, 7 Poets Trio, and Tomas Fujiwara and The Hook Up.
