Steve Einerson

Steve Einerson is a New York pianist rooted in the hard-bop and mainstream jazz tradition, with an approach shaped by three years of study with David Hazeltine. A Milwaukee native, he worked the Milwaukee and Chicago circuit before relocating to New York City in 2004, having been named a finalist in the American Pianists Association's national jazz piano competition. He released his debut album as a leader, Arrival, in 2012. Equally at home in solo, small-group, and big-band settings, he has performed with Marlena Shaw, Joe Farnsworth, Slide Hampton, Ian Hendrickson-Smith, Hilary Gardner, the George Gee Orchestra, and the Cab Calloway Orchestra.
