Stefano Doglioni

Stefano Doglioni is an Italian-born jazz bass clarinetist based in New York. Born in 1986 in Feltre, Italy, he began on classical clarinet and from 2004 devoted himself entirely to the bass clarinet, earning a jazz degree at the Conservatory of Bologna before studying at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague and the New School in New York. Steeped in the bebop tradition through mentors such as Barry Harris and Chris Byars, he leads his own quartet and works closely with the bassist Ari Roland, drummer Keith Balla, and guitarist Pasquale Grasso. He has performed across Europe and the United States.
