Noah Haidu

Noah Haidu is a New York jazz pianist and composer who frames energetic, modern improvisation within his own melodic writing. Raised in Urbana, Illinois and later New Jersey and Los Angeles, he began on classical piano before jazz pulled him in, studying with Kenny Barron at Rutgers and later with Bill Charlap and Barry Harris while completing degrees at the New School and SUNY Purchase. He records for Sunnyside and Posi-Tone, with albums ranging from his original driven debut Slipstream to the recent Standards and Standards II. He co-leads the collective quartet Native Soul and works regularly at clubs including Smalls and The Django.
