Isabel Crespo Pardo

Isabel Crespo Pardo is a vocalist, composer, and improviser based in Brooklyn whose work treats the voice as an open-ended instrument for extended technique and improvisation. Of Colombian and Spanish heritage and raised in part in Germany, they draw on multilingual and multicultural influences that shape a music spanning jazz, experimental, and avant-garde approaches. Trained at the New England Conservatory, they are active in New York's creative music community, appearing in adventurous projects at venues such as The Stone. Their compositions and performances foreground texture, language, and the expressive range of the human voice.
