Craig Weinrib

Craig Weinrib is a drummer, composer, and multi-instrumentalist based in New York whose playing has anchored some of the most adventurous projects in contemporary jazz. Born in 1988, he graduated from Columbia University in 2010 with a degree in English literature before establishing himself on the city's creative music scene. He is a regular member of Henry Threadgill's ensembles, appearing on recordings including Old Locks and Irregular Verbs (2016) and The Other One (2023), and has also worked with Ravi Coltrane, David Virelles, and Jonathan Finlayson. Beginning in 2016 he built his own New York studio, where he records and produces his own compositions.
