Allan Bezama

Allan Bezama is a New York City jazz guitarist whose playing joins fluid bebop lines and rich harmonic detail with a modern rhythmic sensibility. He trained as a classical guitarist at New Jersey City University before turning to jazz under the mentorship of guitarist Vic Juris. As both a bandleader and sideman he has performed with Jeff "Tain" Watts, Mark Whitfield, Steve Wilson, and Eric Lewis. In 2025 he released Moving Forward, a set of original compositions that pairs the jazz-guitar tradition with a contemporary voice. He leads his own group on the New York scene, appearing at venues including The Django.
